Nkoli Memorial Clinic – Field Report

With grateful hearts, we Sojourner Mission Int’I (SMI) wish to acknowledge all your prayers and support at Greenfield World Mission Int’I (GFMI) towards the furtherance of our mission to the unreached. Your partnership with us has served as a catalyst for igniting our passion to forge ahead in this work. We are thankful for encouragers like you who have missions stuck in their hearts, seeing to it that our cardinal vision of missions and disciplining the unreached for Christ in our nation and beyond goes unhindered. We would continue to count on you for the sustenance of this God-giving vision. We look forward having more partnership relationship with you as we forge ahead in Jesus Name.

Nkoli Memorial Clinic was built by Greenfield World Mission Int’I (being managed by Sojourner Mission lnt’I) in 2014 in honour of the four Missionaries led by Sister Nkoli Chukwuamaka, who all died on their way to reaching the Akwana people for Christ on 16′ April 2013. The clinic has been of great benefit to Akwana people and the surrounding villages.

Since the commissioning of the Clinic in 2014, it has been difficult getting a medical practitioner or a missionary nurse who will work permanently among the people, one of the major problems is the massive dam and lack of a good ferry boat for crossing the water to reach the people.

The clinic has impacted much in the lives of the people of Akwana and its environs both, medically and spiritually. Discipleship class holds every Wednesday there, it was a medium
through which Christ is preached to as many that stepped into the clinic. Some of the Fulanis are just afraid of facing persecution. Our Fulani missionary does house to house discipleship to encourage those Fulanis who are afraid of persecution, one of the Fulani converts we have lost everything to his younger ones due to his faith in Christ. Please pray that God will give them boldness.

Our mission clinic in Akwana is picking up gradually; the Volunteer Nurse working among them is doing his best with the combine effort of our missionaries working among the Kuturumi
people’s group which has yielded fruits.

Presently we have one Fulani convert by name; Musa Yunusa who was converted during discipleship class. He was sent for a Discipleship school in June 2015 because of persecution and
trait imposed on him and some of the missionaries. Presently he is through with it; we also intend to send him to CAPRO SCHOOL OF MISSION.

CHALLENGES

The Clinic needs more medical equipment, drugs, ferry boat and motor bike and there is a need to erect a building that will accommodate the missionary Doctor and nurses who will work
there.

SUPPORT

We are asking you to see if you can adopt some of these our missionaries who are labouring hard in their various mission field with little or no support at all:

  • Musa Yunusa: Fulani convert currently undergoing serious persecution and hardship.
  • Ardo Adamu: Fulani Missionary in Akwana
  • Dinatu Daniel: Training Officer in Aburon
  • Isaac Daniel: Missionary in Funtong
  • Ishaya Bitrus: missionary in Funtong.

PRAYER POINTS

Thank God for his mercies to us through out the year 2015.
Pray for us that God will give us a clear vision for 2016.
Pray that the Lord will continue to keep, provide and protect us in the face of all the challenges.

Finally our firm belief is that the grace of God shall abound towards you. We will continue to trust on His never-failing promises as we journey through to the end of this year. It is our sincere prayer that the Lord would continue to shower His blessings on you and preserve you as a positive influence in the global task of world evangelism, particularly to the unreached and the forgotten ones in the hinterlands of Africa.

We, too, would continue to find grace and strength from the Lord to make impact, as we count on your empowering partnership in the years ahead.

Once again, from our hearts; thank you and God’s blessings. Yours in His service,

Christian Ofodile
